East Cape Girardeau, Illinois

East Cape Girardeau is a village in Alexander County, Illinois. The 2020 United States Census reported 385 people living in the village.^[1]

The village is east of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The location of the village being just across the Mississippi River from Cape Girardeau is the reason for the village being called East Cape Girardeau. The village was founded in 1890.^[2]
