Evangelista Torricelli

Italian physicist and mathematician (1608-1647)

Evangelista Torricelli (15 October 1608 – 25 October 1647) was an Italian physicist and mathematician. He was a student of Galileo. He is known for his invention of the barometer. He is also known for improving the field of optics and his work on the method of indivisibles.
