Evi Edna Ogholi

Nigerian singer

Evi Edna Ogholi (born on 6 July 1966) is a Nigerian female reggae musician of Isoko extraction,[1] who was widely known for her popular song "Happy Birthday".[2] She also became famous for her popular hits such as "Oghene Me", and "Look Before You Cross".

Popularly known as the "Queen of Nigerian Reggae", she mostly sang her songs in her native language.

Today, Ogholi's legacy is seen to have "had a lasting impact on Nigerian music", as she is considered as "inspiring a new generation of artists and bringing the essence of Isoko culture into mainstream Nigerian music".[3]
