History

change

FSG was originally called New England Sports Ventures. It was created in 2001, after John W. Henry, Tom Werner, Les Otten, the New York Times Company, and other investors came together and successfully bid for the Red Sox.

In March of 2011, the company changed its name to Fenway Sports Group.
