Ferdi Tayfur

Turkish singer and actor (1945–2025)

Ferdi Tayfur (tr; born Ferdi Tayfur Turanbayburt; 15 November 1945 – 2 January 2025) was a Turkish singer-songwriter, actor, director and screenwriter.[1][2][3] He was born in Adana, Turkey. He mainly sung Arabesque music.[4] He was known as "Ferdi Baba". He founded Ferdifon Records in 1982.[5]

Tayfur died at a hospital in Antalya, Turkey from kidney failure on 2 January 2025, at the age of 79.[6][7]
