Cleveland State University is a public university in Cleveland, Ohio. The university has about 17,204 students. It was founded in 1881 as Fern College and then was later established again in 1964 when it was renamed Cleveland State University. The current president of the university is Ronald M. Berkman.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Vikings. They have 17 varsity teams and they compete in the Horizon League and the Eastern Wrestling League for wrestling.
