changeHe started his career with Palmeiras São Paulo. In 2018 he went to the Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk. 2019 he went on loan to Sporting Lissabon for the 2019–20 season but came back already in January 2020.
In April 2022, Red Bull Salzburg announced the signing of Fernando from Shakhtar Donetsk. He came to Salzburg for training, because the league was stopped due to the war in Ukraine.[2]
