Fiorenzo Manganiello

Fiorenzo Manganiello is an Italian businessman, investor, and teacher. He is known for his work in venture capital and blockchain technology. Manganiello is the co-founder of LIAN Group, a European venture capital company, and two blockchain-focused companies, Cowa and PolarDC[1]. In 2018, he was named Blockchain Expert Switzerland and in 2020, he became the Swiss Ambassador for the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC).[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Fiorenzo Manganiello was born in Avellino, Italy.[4] He studied Financial Economics at LUISS Business School in Rome, Italy, and later continued his education at the London School of Economics.[5][6]

In 2018, Manganiello co-founded LIAN Group, a company that invests in digital technologies like artificial intelligence.[1][7]

Cowa and PolarDC

In 2022, Manganiello started two companies:

  • Cowa, which works on eco-friendly cryptocurrency mining using renewable energy[8][9].
  • PolarDC, a company that provides high-performance data centers.[10] In 2024, PolarDC's majority share was purchased by H.I.G. Capital.[11][12][13][14]

Teaching

Manganiello is a professor at Geneva Business School, where he teaches about venture capital and blockchain.[2][15]

Philanthropy
