Fort Benton is a city in Montana in the United States. It is the county seat of Chouteau County. As of the 2020 United States Census, there were 1,449 people.[1]

Fort Benton Bridge

Established in 1846, Fort Benton is the oldest settlement in Montana. The Missouri River flows along the town.
