Freedom Conservative Party of Alberta

The Freedom Conservative Party of Alberta was a right-wing political party in Alberta, Canada. The party was created in 1999 as the Alberta First Party. In 2004, the party changed their name to the Separation Party of Alberta. In 2018, the party was renamed the Freedom Conservative Party of Alberta.[2]

In the 2019 general election, the Freedom Conservative Party received 0.5% of the popular vote.[3]
Derek Fildebrandt resigned as leader of the Freedom Conservative Party on April 30, 2019.[4]
In April 2020, the party agreed to merge with the Wexit Alberta to create the Wildrose Independence Party of Alberta. It became official in July 2020.[5][6]
