Géraldine Mackie
Canadian speed skater
Effie Géraldine Mackie was a female Canadian speed skater. She lived in Toronto. She was Canadian U18 speed skating champion.[1]
She competed in all the three women's speed skating events at the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, which were held as demonstration sport.[2] She finished fourth in the 1500 metres event,[3] and fifth in the 1000 metres event.[4] She also competed in the 500 metres event but was eliminated in the heats.[5][6]
During her career she competed in several other international competitions where she was successful, including at the 1929 Middle Atlantic Senior SpeedSkating Championship for Girls.[7]
