Günter Praschak
Günter Praschak (12 September 1929 – 4 April 2011) was a Austrian football player and coach.

Career
changeGünter Praschak went to school in Hollabrunn (Lower Austria) and played for the local club SV Hollabrunn. After the Second World War he came to Salzburg and played for SAK. He also played ice hockey. In 1953 he went to LASK. From 1955 to 1958 he played for SV Austria Salzburg. After a short time with LASK he came back to Austria and played there until 1966.[1]
Managing career
changeIn 1957 he was the player-coach of Austria Salzburg. From 1965 to 1969 and 1973 to 1975 he was coach of the team. In 1970-71 and 1979-81 he was coach of SK VOEST Linz, also serving as technical manager. From 1984 to 1987 he was coach of the Austrian U23 national football team.[2]
As manager of Austria Salzburg he brought Karl Kodat, Horst Hirnschrodt or Peter Grosser to Salzburg. He also was very much engaged in the plans for a new stadium in Lehen, which was finally opend in 1971. It was the homeground of Austria Salzburg until the opening of the EM Stadion Wals-Siezenheim in 2003.
