Greek Orthodox archbishop (1937-2020)
Metropolitan Gennadios (Italian: Gennadios Zervós, pronounced [dʒenˈnaːdjoz dzerˈvɔs]; secular name Tsampikos Zervos, Greek: Τσαμπίκος Ζερβός; July 8, 1937 – October 16, 2020) was a Greek-Italian Eastern Orthodox prelate. He was the metropolitan bishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Italy, covering Italy, Malta, and San Marino between 1996 until his death. He was born in Rhodes, Kingdom of Italy.
Gennadios died on October 16, 2020 at the age of 83.[1]
