George Pérez
American comic book artist and writer (1954-2022)
George Pérez (/ˈpɛrɛz/;[1] June 9, 1954 – May 6, 2022)[2] was an American comic book artist and writer. He was known for working on The Avengers for Marvel Comics. In the 1980s he worked on The New Teen Titans, which became one of DC Comics' top-selling series.

In December 2021, Pérez was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.[3][4] He died from the disease five months later in Sanford, Florida on May 6, 2022 at the age of 67.[5]
