Glucose meter

medical device for determining the concentration of glucose in the blood

A glucose meter is a medical tool that measures glucose in human blood. It is an important part of blood glucose checking for people with diabetes mellitus or hypoglycemia. A drop of blood is placed on a test strip. The meter reads the strip and displays the blood sugar levels.[1]
