Gori (Georgian: გორი [ɡɔri]) is a city in eastern Georgia. Gori is the regional capital of Shida Kartli. This City is best known for being the Birthplace of Soviet Leader Joseph Stalin, who ruled the Soviet Union from 1924 until his death in 1953.
