Ha Seung-jin
Ha Seung-Jin (Korean: 하승진; Hanja 河昇鎮, born 4 August 1985) is a South Korean professional athlete. He is best known as a basketball player. He has played in the NBA for the Portland Trail Blazers.[1] He was the first Korean to play basketball in the NBA.
Ha was born in Seoul. His father was a member of the national basketball team and his older sister is a member of the national basketball team. His height was 2.18 m in middle school when he won the championship. Lots of universities wanted Seung-Jin to sign with their school. He decided to play for Yonsei University and won the university championship with them. He decided to go pro and signed with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2004.
His NBA career was short due to his low basic skills. So he decided to go back to Korea and enter the Korean Basketball League in 2008.
