Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa (born 28 January 1950) is the King of Bahrain. He became King on 14 February 2002. He was also Emir from 6 March 1999.[2] He is the son of Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the previous Emir. He was proclaimed Crown Prince on June 27, 1964.[3]
