Hardwired... to Self-Destruct is the tenth studio album by Metallica, an American heavy metal band. It was released in November 2016 by Blackened Recordings, the band's record label. It is their first studio album released by Blackened.

The album came out at number one on the Billboard 200 music chart. It went to number one on music charts in 57 countries. It sold over 250,000 copies in its first week. The album made Metallica the second band to ever have six albums release at number one on the Billboard 200 in a row (the first being Dave Matthews Band).[1] In 2020, Lars Ulrich said it was the Metallica album he liked the most.[2]
