Helmut Dietl

German film director (1944–2015)

Helmut Dietl (22 June 1944 – 30 March 2015) was a German movie director and author. He was born in Bad Wiessee, but raised in Munich, Germany. He was known for directing the popular television series Monaco Franze – Der ewige Stenz.
