Henjunaha
The saga of the 2nd line of reincarnation in the Moirang kingdom in ancient Meitei Manipuri mythology
Henjunaha Lairoulembi (Old Manipuri: Hensunaha Lailoulempi), or simply known as Henjunaha, is a folk tale in the ancient Moirang Kangleirol legends of Meitei mythology and folklore.[1][2][3] It is the love story of Henjunaha and his lady love Lairoulembi, who are the true lovers in the second rebirth of divine lovers in the epic of Ancient Moirang.[1][2][4][5][6]

- The story was notably rewritten during the times of Maharaja Bhagyachandra, a King of Medieval Manipur.[1]
- In 2010, Henjunaha, a drama, was written by K. B. Sharma, based on the story of the hero.[7]
- In 2012, a book Henjunaha Lairoulembi, was published in the Manipur Hindi Parishad, Imphal. It's based on the saga of the hero Henjunaha and his lady love Lairoulembi.[8]
- In 2017, a folk play named "Henjunaha" premiered, based on the saga of the legendary hero.[9]
