Hurricane Kate was an Atlantic tropical cyclone in November 1985. The storm was the last tropical cyclone in the 1985 Atlantic hurricane season to hit the United States.

Kate first struck the northern coast of Cuba as a Category 2 hurricane.[1]

The storm later struck northwestern Florida close to Mexico Beach. It killed over a dozen people. It also caused $700 million in damage. The storm later went into southwestern Georgia.[2]

Kate was the latest tropical cyclone to hit the United States as a hurricane.
