Ilija Petković

Serbian footballer (1945-2020)

Ilija Petković (Serbian Cyrillic: Илија Петковић, pronounced [ǐlija pětkoʋitɕ]; 22 September 1945 – 27 June 2020) was a Serbian footballer and manager. From the early 1990s until his death, Petković was a football manager. He was manager of the Serbia and Montenegro national team from 2003 to 2006. He was born in Knin, then-Yugoslavia.

Petković died on 27 June 2020 in Belgrade from problems caused by an ulcer and COVID-19, aged 74.[1]
