Imtiaz Ali Taj

Syed Imtiaz Ali Taj (1900-1970) was a famous playwright from Lahore (now in Pakistan).[1]
He is specially famous for his play Anarkali (1922) about the life and love of the dancing-girl of Mughal times, Anarkali.[2]
This play was later adapted and made into a number of films about the story of Anarkali.
