Israeli Liberal Party
Israeli political party
The Israeli Liberal Party (Hebrew: מפלגה ליברלית ישראלית, Miflaga Libralit Yisraelit) was a political party that was active in Israel in the 1950s and 60s. The Liberals were created by an alliance of the Progressive Party and the General Zionists. The Liberal party was generally fiscally conservative but in other issues were normally left-centrist. In 1963, the Liberals joined with Menachem Begin and the Herut party to become Gahal.
