J. Caleb Boggs

James Caleb Boggs (May 15, 1909 – March 26, 1993)[1] was a Republican U.S. Senator from Delaware from 1961 to 1973. He was Governor from 1953 to 1960 and a Congressman from 1947 to 1953. He was defeated in 1972 by future Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden. He was born in Cheswold, Delaware.

Boggs died on March 26, 1993 in Wilmington, Delaware at the age of 83.
