Jack Larson
American actor and theater writer (1928-2015), best known for playing jimmy olsen, friend of supeman in 'the adventures of superman' tv series 1951-1958 starring legendary george reeves
Jack Edward Larson (February 8, 1928 – September 20, 2015) was an American actor, librettist, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his role as Jimmy Olsen in the television series Adventures of Superman (1952–1958). He also appeared in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and the movie Superman Returns (2006). He retired in 2011.
Larson was born in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Pasadena, California. He was of Swedish and Russian ancestry. He was gay and his partner of 35 years, director and screenwriter James Bridges, died in 1993.
Larson died on September 20, 2015 in Brentwood, California, aged 87.[1]
