James McAvoy

James McAvoy (/ˈmækəvɔɪ/ MAK-ə-voi; born 21 April 1979) is a Scottish actor. He is best known for his roles in movies such as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), The Last King of Scotland (2006), Becoming Jane (2007), Atonement (2007), Wanted (2008) and Professor X in X-Men film series. McAvoy starred as adult Bill Denbrough in the 2019 horror movie It – Chapter Two.

Life
changeMcAvoy was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He was raised as a Roman Catholic. He married English actress Anne-Marie Duff on 11 November 2006, but they divorced in 2016. They have a son, Brendan (born 2010).
