Jason Epstein

American editor and publisher (1928–2022)

Jason Wolkow Epstein (August 25, 1928 – February 4, 2022) was an American editor and publisher. In 1950, he began working for Doubleday. In 1958 Epstein left Doubleday to join Random House where he was editorial director until his retirement in 1999. In 2004, he co-founded On Demand Books.[1][2]

Epstein died on February 4, 2022, at his home in Sag Harbor, New York from congestive heart failure at the age of 93.[3]
