Jiao Ruoyu

Jiao Ruoyu (Chinese: 焦若愚; 7 November 1915–1 January 2020) was a retired Chinese politician and diplomat. He served as a deputy mayor of Shenyang under Huang Oudong. He was a Chinese Ambassador to North Korea (1965–1970), Peru (1972–1977) and Iran (1977–1979). Jiao was also the mayor of Beijing from 1981 to 1983.

Jiao was born in Ye County, Henan. He turned 100 in November 2015.[1]
