Richard E. Grant (born Richard Grant Esterhuysen,[1][2] 5 May 1957) is a British actor, screenwriter, and director.[3] He is known for playing Withnail in Withnail and I and as John Seward in the 1992 blockbuster Bram Stoker's Dracula. He also starred in Penelope, Corpse Bride, Logan and in the sixth season of Game of Thrones.

In 2018, Grant received critical acclaim for his role as Jack Hock in the drama-biographical movie Can You Ever Forgive Me?. He starred as General Pryde in Star Wars: Episode IX (2019).
