Joel Edmundson
Joel Edmundson (born June 28, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the St. Louis Blues, Carolina Hurricanes, Montreal Canadiens, and Washington Capitals.

He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 2011 NHL Draft.[1] He helped the Blues win their first Stanley Cup in the team's history in 2019.[2] On September 24, 2019, Edmundson was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes.[3]
On September 12, 2020, the Hurricanes traded Edmundson in exchange for a fifth round picking the 2015 draft.[4] He would then sign a four-year, $14 million contract with them four days later.[5] He would help the team and it to the Stanley Cup Finals but they would lose 4 games to one.[6]
On July 1, 2023, he would be traded to the Washington Capitals in exchange for both a third and seventh round pick in the 2024 draft.[7] He would play 44 games with them, recording 1 goal, 5 assists, and 6 points.
On March 7, 2024, the Capitals traded him to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a third round pick in the 2024!draft and a fifth round pick in the 2025 draft.[8]
