John Allen Chau
American missionary (1991–2018)
John Allen Chau (born December 18, 1991 in Scottsboro, died November 17, 2018 in North Sentinel) is a american traveler and Christian Protestant missionary. He was killed in November 2018 by residents of North Sentinel Island in an attempt to convert them to Christianity.[3] For nine years, he prepared for a mission among the Sentinels, aware of the risks and the very brutal treatment of newcomers by the natives[4]
