John Banks Elliott

Ghanaian ambassador

John Banks Elliott (9 February 1917 – 18 July 2018) was a Ghanaian diplomat and statesman. He was Ghana's first Ambassador to the Soviet Union,[1] from 1960 to 1966. He was born in Cape Coast, Ghana.

Elliott died of cardiopulmonary arrest in Accra on 18 July 2018 at the age of 101.[2]
