Edward John "Johnnie" Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer, MVO (24 January 1924 – 29 March 1992), styled Viscount Althorp until June 1975, was a British peer.

changeHe was married to Frances Roche, They have five children by the marriage, He was remarried to Raine, Countess of Dartmouth in 1976.
He was the father of Diana, Princess of Wales. He was the maternal grandfather of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.
Death
changeSpencer died on 29 March 1992 at Wellington Hospital in London of a heart attack at the age of 68.[1]
