John W. Raymond
United States Air Force and United States Space Force general
General John W. Raymond (born April 30,1962) is a retired United States military officer. He was in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 2019 when the United States Space Force was created and he became its first member and the first Chief of Space Operations. He retired in November 2022 and B. Chance Saltzman was the next Chief of Space Operations.
