Josif Runjanin

Croatian composer (1821-1878)

Josif Runjanin was a Serbian soldier and composer. He was born on December 8, 1821 in Vinkovci. He died on February 2, 1878 in Novi Sad. He is known for composing the Serbian national anthem.[1] There are many schools in Serbia that are named after him. One of them is the elementary Music School of Josip Runjanin in Vinkovci.[2]
