Judea Lyaboloma Constituency

Judea Lyaboloma Constituency is a constituency in the Zambezi Region of Namibia. The administrative centre of the constituency is the settlement of Sangwali.[1] In 2020, the constituency had 3,339 registered voters.[2]

The constituency was created in August 2013 from dividing the western part of Linyanti Constituency.[3] It is named after Judea Lyaboloma, a member of the People's Liberation Army and Medal of Bravery recipient.[1]

Politics change

The 2015 regional election was won by Beaven Bashole Munali of the SWAPO Party with 1,078 votes, followed by Oscar Zambo Munanzi of the Rally for Democracy and Progress with 120 votes.[4] In the 2020 regional election an independent candidate won the constituency. Gwelu Humphrey Divai obtained 1,250 votes, followed by Vincent Bafeze Sinalumbu of SWAPO with 722 votes.[2]
