Kalapani

Disputed territory between India and Nepal under India's administration

Kalapani is a territory disputed between India and Nepal.[1] It has been  embroiled in controversy since mid-1996, shortly after the ratification of the Mahakali treaty with India by Nepal’s Parliament. India claims the area is part of Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district, while Nepal believes it to be part of its Dharchula district.[2]
