Ken Saitō

Japanese politician

Ken Saitō (齋藤 健, Saitō Ken, born 14 June 1959) is a Japanese politician. He is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.[1] He has been the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry since December 2023. He has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2009.[2]

Saitō was the Minister of Justice from November 2022 to September 2023. He was the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries from August 2017 to October 2018. [3]

In August 2024, Saitō said that he was interested in running for the Liberal Democratic Party in the 2024 leadership election.[4] However a month later, he declined to run after not being able to get enough support.[5]
