Khowaja or Khoja are Shia (Nizari Isma'ili) muslim community of Sindh, Pakistan and Gujarat, India. They were of Baniya and Lohana caste groups (merchants and traders), who converted to Islam from Hinduism under Muslim Pīr Ṣadr al-Dīn.[1][2]
