Khouribga (Arabic: خريبڭة, romanized: ḵurībga) is a Moroccan city located in the center of the northern half of the Kingdom of Morocco. It is the capital of Khouribga Province in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, Morocco. Its population is 193,372 people, according to the 2014 General Population and Housing Census.

History

The city was founded in 1923 AD by the French protection authorities when they discovered phosphate in the region.[2]

Geography

It is 107 kilometers away from the city of Casablanca, 157 kilometers from the capital Rabat and 205 kilometers from the city of Marrakesh.[3][4]
