Kristian Bezuidenhout
Kristian Bezuidenhout (born in 1979 in South Africa) is an Australian classical pianist currently living in London.
He was born in King William's Town in Eastern South Africa and moved with his family to Australia in 1988.[1] Bezuidenhout started his musical studies in Australia and completed them at the Eastman School of Music in New York.[2] Being interested in historical performance, he started studying fortepiano with an American professor and a pianist Malcolm Bilson. Bezuidenhout won the first prize in the Bruges Fortepiano Competition being just 21 years old.
During his career Bezuidenhout has already collaborated with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Concerto Köln, the Collegium Vocale Gent and Les Arts Florissants.[3] He also worked together with such conductors as Trevor Pinnock and John Eliot Gardiner. His wide list of recordings include works of Schumann, Mozart, Haydn and other classical composers.[4]
