Lanús is a city in the Buenos Aires Province in Argentina. In 2010, 459,263 people lived there. The city is south of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. It is known for its football club called Club Atlético Lanús. It was founded on October 20, 1888 by Guillermo Gaebeler.
Football player and manager Diego Maradona was born here.
