Larry Wilson (American football)

American football player, coach, executive (1938–2020)

Larry Frank Wilson (March 24, 1938 – September 17, 2020) was an American professional football player. He was a free safety with the St. Louis Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL) between 1960 to 1972.[1] He was born in Rigby, Idaho.

He played his entire 13-year career with the Cardinals and remained on the team's payroll until 2003.[2][3] After his playing career, he stayed with the Cardinals as a coach and executive between 1973 to 2002.

Wilson died on September 18, 2020 from cancer in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 82.[4]
