Lau Pa Sat
Historic building in Singapore used as a food centre
Lau Pa Sat (Chinese: 老巴刹; pinyin: Lǎo Bāshā; literally: "Old Market"), also known as Telok Ayer Market (Malay: Pasar Telok Ayer; Chinese: 直落亚逸巴刹), is a historic building in Singapore. At first, it was located near the waterfront, where it was built as a fish market, in 1824. It was later rebuilt at a different location, again to serve as a market. It currently is a food court.
