Lee Soo-young

South Korean singer

Lee Soo-young (born Lee Ji-yeon (Korean: 李知姸) 12 April 1979) is a Korean ballad singer. She started her singing career in 1999 in Korea with I Believe. She is well known for her lyrical and powerful voice. She has earned much popularity in Korea. She sang the song, "얼마나 좋을까" ("Eolmana Joheulkka")which is added to the original soundtrack of Final Fantasy X in 2001. Lee has released 8 studio albums. She is one of the most popular ballad singer in Korea.

Lee Soo Young

Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea. She has a younger brother and a younger sister. Her father died from car accident when she was nine. After this, her mother earned money by working for restaurants and delivering milk bottles. She went to a church and she said it helped her a lot to maintain her life. After her mother died from car accident, she began her career as a singer.

She started to sell her albums in Japan in 2004. She released one studio album, and two single album. With these albums, she got only 125th position in Oricon chart.
