Leon Ware

American recording artist, songwriter and composer (1940–2017)

Leon Ware (February 16, 1940 – February 23, 2017) was an American music artist, songwriter and composer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan.

Besides a solo career as a performer, Ware was best known for producing hits for other artists including Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Maxwell, Minnie Riperton and Marvin Gaye. He was known for co-producing the latter's album and the song I Want You.

Ware died on February 23, 2017 from complications of prostate cancer in Los Angeles, California, aged 77.[1]
