Lhasa de Sela
Mexican-American singer who gained fame in Montreal, Canada
Lhasa de Sela (September 27, 1972 – January 1, 2010) was an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. Her first album, La Llorona won a Félix Award and a Juno Award.

Lhasa recorded a third album, titled Lhasa, but she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 around the time it was released. She died from the disease on January 1, 2010 in Montreal, aged 37.[1]
