Lincoln Gordon

U.S. Ambassador to Brazil and university president (1913–2009)

Lincoln Gordon (born 29 June 1948) is a British bass guitarist and guitar player originally from Jamaica. He co-formed The Equals in 1964, and was originally their third guitar player, before moving to bass guitar in 1969. He is the younger brother to their lead singer The Equals. The bands only song to go to number one in the UK is "Baby, Come Back".[1] He was in the band from 1964 to 1986, and was a main songwriter for the band along with his brother and Eddy Grant.
